I decided to do a second portrait of Ted the Butcher just in time for the 2017 Black Swan Portraiture Prize submissions. Ted, the 83-year-old butcher from Como in Sydney’s south, is a much-loved icon of the community, who has been running his little butcher shop for more than 60 years – and still works there today.
