The Porsche 917/20, famously nicknamed the “Pink Pig,” is a true racing oddity with its butcher-style livery and wide-body design, first seen at the 1971 24 Hours of Le Mans. This commissioned piece took me into unfamiliar territory—an automotive subject, which isn’t my usual focus—but I ended up really enjoying the process.
Drawn entirely with Copic markers over 59 hours on Strathmore Bristol paper, this artwork was all about precision and patience. It was a rewarding challenge to recreate every curve and panel in photorealistic detail.
